Jennifer Laing R.G.D.

Jennifer has been working in art direction and design for branding and in web design, since 1998.

Her years spent refining design skills in a studio environment at a marketing agency as well as doing a variety of non-profit freelance projects, lead to her starting an independent graphic communication studio in 2006. In this capacity she has worked collaboratively with other creative professionals to produce effective communication materials for clients in both the private and non-profit sectors.

Her extensive experience specifically in the non-profit sector includes creating visual communication in the areas of scientific research and relief and development for clients such as the Ontario Brain Institute, Ontario Institute for Cancer Research and Canadian Baptist Ministries. Her area of specialization is primarily design for multi-page publications in both traditional and digital media. Her digital work includes the design and production of interactive web content using CSS and animation in HTML5. She has art directed the redesign for two magazine publications and has worked closely with a book publisher creating pages for an educational literacy program for grades two through ten.

After graduating from York University with an honours BFA she spent the following years honing her design and technical skills at a marketing agency working on packaging, ads and print collateral for many new and established brands including Duracell, Elmer’s, RJ Spagnols and Lindt.

Jennifer is an accredited member of the Association of Registered Graphic Designers of Ontario (RGD).
